Religions and Foreign Policy Paper Topics

Religions and Foreign Policy Paper TopicsWhy Religion and Foreign Policy? - A study of history in relation to religion and foreign policy. In ancient and medieval times, religions were central aspects of life in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and in many parts of the world. After World War II, there was a sharp shift in the emphasis of religions, particularly Christianity, and subsequent changes in the relationship between religion and foreign policy. In some areas of the world, such as South Asia, Islam has had greater influence in governing the state, in contrast to earlier periods when Christian sects and other religious groups held a great deal of power. This often has meant that different perspectives on the history of religion have been reflected in different forms of governance, as well as different aspects of society. In addition, in countries where Western influences have been more prominent, Western universities are a frequent target for Islamic extremists. An example of an area of study in which Western influence can be seen is the focus of studies on Arabic or Oriental cultures, such as Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, and Turkey. These societies often have a rather close relationship with Islam, but also include several foreign influences. The Islamic Republic of Iran was established in 1979.The use of religion in Iran is a controversial issue. However, this study will examine some of the Islamic beliefs which make it difficult for most people to discuss politics without fear of offending a large religious sect. Another area of study will focus on the role of religion in a state. The final two topics of interest will examine the relationship between religion and government in areas where religion has played a large role. In many parts of the world, the influence of various religions over different government groups has been a major source of contention.Religion and Foreign Policy will take an in-depth look at the influence of religion on politics and governmen ts. It will take a detailed look at how religious beliefs influence the political and economic aspects of societies around the world. As with any other study of religion, it will be essential that one consult the subject matter carefully, as it is very difficult to obtain true knowledge in some areas.
